From Farm to Packet, Quality in Every Step

Research

We develop region-specific hybrids through breeding, followed by multi-location trials. If successful, we register and seek approval from agricultural departments in the target states.

Production

After getting approval from agriculture department, we multiply the seeds by contract farming. We give male and female foundation seeds to our organizer and then we take back those seeds.

Quality check

We do different test to check the purity of seeds like germination test, GOT test, ELIZA test(cotton only). After getting results we pack the passed lot and return the failed seed lot to organizers.

Packing

We do grading of passed lots and then after chemical seed treatment to boost germination capacity, shelf life and vigor. After that seeds are packed in packets.

Based on the research gaps identified in the farmer’s field for each crop, the R&D strategy has been prepared. To meet the respective crop breeding objectives, different satellite stations were established in India.

India is having diverse agro climatic zones and the agriculture practices are different in different regions. Hence, the requirement of seeds for commercial production of various crops varies.

With this information better products in different vegetables, cotton, paddy etc are developed and evaluated for their performance in different agro climatic conditions.
